Chris(she/her) is a Masters Level Clinical Social Worker and graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Masters of Social Work program. Chris joined SOAR in 2020 as a Prison-Based Therapist and Outpatient Therapist. Chris works under the assumption that all people have the internal resources to heal, and that although trauma can negatively impact us, our core self remains undamaged and pure. Chris is committed to the practice of cultural humility, welcomes working with a diversity of people and lifestyles, and is affirming of LGBTQ+ identities. Her strengths-based clinical practice is informed by Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as Empowerment Theory, Queer Theory, and Mindfulness.
